Congrats to Seth for his article in newest (February 2003) Picture Framing Magazine. Page 20. "V-groove designs made easier." Even a knucklehead like me can understand it.

I had no idea that article was Seth's. I had earmarked it for future reference. What a cool concept. I'm glad to see that people are still being innovative with manual cutters, since some of us are still in the dark ages with no CMC yet. Soon it will be a dying art.

You must be living righ Seth, newly married and published to boot. Congrats!

Ditto to those sentiments. Thank you and congratulations to the Bogman. That is a very straightforward explanation. Hope you can publish more of your great designs in the near future too.

 Rick

PS: How's married life treating you?

I am one of the "Favored Few" that Seth taught his V-Grooves to, back before he was published. All of my instructions were either by E-Mail, IM, or phone call. Best thing I learned during 2001. :D

Congratulations Seth!

My head is spinning from all the naches(that's yiddish for praise and honors, for all you goyim) you're sending me, but I haven't gotten my copy yet, and so I don't know how much they printed. I do know that the lovely Ms. Vazquez told me that this is going to be a series, so let's see how much they use and how fast, because I have to get more designs and text to them to keep this going!

I haven't gotten mine yet. Not unusual though, it usually comes about the third week of the month here.

Got mine the end of last week. Great article, Seth. I've got to go over that thing several times until I get it down pat.

Very well written and easy to understand. Interesting reading, but not "cutsy" (as some writers think they need to be). I'm looking forward to the coming installments. (But I still wish I had it in a booklet form so I don't have to keep going back to the magazine.)

Wonder if one could print the article off from PFM? Then I could put it in my "master notebook full of useful knowledge and stuff"

I think I'll go look....

May I assure you that not only goyim, but also True Believers are carefully investigating your manuscript.

Very interesting concept, and for me in particular because I make V-Grooves by first cutting the window opening and then sizing the dropout face up. I will definitely have questions to you upon trying your techniques. Right now I am very busy with some project, so you can expect to get my provocative questions in a few months.

Meantime, may I suggest you to open a new threaT (Ron, are you there? :D ) specifically for a technical discussion on your exciting techniques. So, you wouldn't answer the same questions again and again. As we say- one Yiddish saychel is O.K., but many, even most of them are goyishe is better. Massaging your techniques on the Board may lead to some other innovative ideas that you could use when publishing a book, or making a video (I prefer video) on your techniques.

Now, take you gorgeous wife and come down to the Grumble Reunion in Washington, DC. I will treat you with my home made Lox. V-grooves, schme-grooves, my Lox is better. tongue.gif

I just got my copy of PFM today, and Lord bless 'em, they didn't change a word of text! the balance of the designs will be in the April issue of PFM, more, I suppose, if enough people clammor for more instalments hint, hint.
