Received a package of chops from Orr Moulding the other day and found one in there I didn't order. When I checked my invoice it was marked something like "one extra free frame". The gesture is appreciated. Anyone else had a surprise from a supplier?

Yeah!
I ordered a couple of sheets of Master Mount motifs from the Adelaide chapter of Larson Jule to experiment with and the girl said they were being discontinued. They only had one of the colours I wanted, so she sent me four assorted sheets and only charged me for one. Here they cost $19.95 a sheet.

For ever upper there appears to be a downer. Early this week I ordered two chops and a length moulding from Nurre Caxton. Today they arrived....in three separate cartons, from three separate locations. Since I prefer COD with NC I had three separate shipping charges, three COD charges and to boot they were all sent second day air which I did not request. One chop was a 6x6 frame that sells for $6 per foot and it cost almost $40. Needless to say they will be hearing about this when the holidays are over.

I think Nurre has some internal organizational problems that they need to address. We never know what we will get from them in terms of quality. They could probably lower their prices if they didn't have to keep replacing sticks. Anyone else have problems with their frame stock?

I ordered some frame corners from N-C a couple of months ago from their area salesman. I received my credit account approval a while back, but still waiting for my corners. Glad I didn't order any frames.

I've used NC for years. About 15% of the time I have had to call them and reorder due to their mistake. They always make good. I like their product overall. It is higher end so some of the ho-hum frame shops don't carry them. NC provides a good choice for other alternatives.

This is a good place to give credit to a salesman for LJ. Randy digs in during the Christmas season in our area helping the LJ delivery driver get the goods to us on time. In our area ferries between islands make schedules difficult. Randy loads his own van with some of the goods for some towns and this allows the driver to keep to his schedule and us to keep to our schedule. Thanks Randy!
