How about store hours? Our hours are Mon.- Fri. 10-7 Sat 10-5. We are a stand alone store not in a strip or mall. We are a store front operation not home based. How about everyone else out there? What are your store hours and are they dictated by your location or lease?

Hey Jim,

John's right the thread was covered on Dec. 29, 2001. However, There have been a ton of new Grumblers since then and I guess John figures they don't need to respond to your question. Your question also asked about leases and strip mall hours that govern hours that was NOT covered in the before mentioned thread.

Our hours are long 8-6 Mon-Fri (thurs. and fri till 8 pm) Sat. 9-5 and Sun. 11-4. Our lease does not govern hours, however, because we are a photography studio and professional processing lab, our hours are longer (plus we have trained staff to cover them). There are buisness in our strip mall that are open during these hours and this is a huge factor in staying open when others in the plaza are open as well.

It seems silly to be closed when the store next door is open.

Hello. My hours are Tuesday thru Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or by "special appointment". ajh

I'm with you. Istay open when my competitors aren't and when the guys around me are.

therefore: 10-6 Mon-Wed; 10-8 Thursday when my two adjoining stores are, and Fri 10-6; Sat. 10-4

competitors close earlier than I on Saturday, and no one is open until 8 any week night. I make it part of my business plan to stay open later than my competitors, or to have more hours per week than they.

And I don't consider Michael's and JoAnne's to be competitors, and yes they are open until 9

Jim,

Our hours are 10AM till 5:30PM Monday thru Friday.
Saturday hours are 10AM till 4PM. The shop is in a downtown street location in the center of Lancaster, PA. with other stores keeping the similar hours.
