The Internet is so interesting to me. I always wonder how people find what they are looking for. So I ask this question, "How did you find the "Picture Framers Grumble?" I'm looking for answers like: I found it on Yahoo, I found it through word of mouth, or I clicked a link on another site. Thanks for taking the time to answer.

I went to the Picture Frame Magazine site, did a post, sent e-mail and the next day I had e-mail telling me about this. PFM and one of you brought me in. Thanks.

I found the Grumble today through myframeshop.com (Ithink). I assumed (shouldn't do that) that I was reading messages from framers in Washington state; very interesting! I'll stick around and learn more I hope.

Hey new guys at the Grumble, answer this one for us! If we have 50 registered users now, we should be able to collect a lot of inforamtion here that would help us figure out how to get more people on the Grumble.

It was a very long search. The direct link was from the site that has the "Framers Calculater" which by the way seems to have a computation error. Either that or I'm confused. http://www.thegrumble.com/framer/ubbs/smile.gif

The computer made this post twice, so I decided to use the space. (You see, I am computer illiterate and anything the computer does is not my fault). By the way, thanks you guys for keeping the Grumble going until I got here. I wonder what happened to DPattullo, though.

Relative to PL's computer illiteracy comment, you know what I wish? I wish there was a board for the novice-to-intermediate user so we could get questions answered with the same ease as on the Grumble. I bug two or three of our members and feel terrible about it, but I'm selfish enough to keep it up! (This is not the place to post this, but I was here.)

I found the original PFG site through another framer who gave me a whole list of sites on picture framing...the funny thing is-I don't see her here. I lost you for awhile--a computer crash wiped out everything--but then was able to find you through a search engine-probably Dogpile. You'd changed your format by then, of course...but I find I like it even better than the old one. I lurked for many months before actually posting anything.

Surfing to find price info on a press, I found a member of this board, who let me in on The Grumble. And I thank her. And I second MM's idea. I could really use a computer BB. And congratulations are in line for Merrill, a new member of the PPFA board, if I recall my late night PFM reading correctly.

I initially entered the Grumble via myframeshop.com about a year ago. I'd heard verbal discussion of the site among framers and industry people. Returned and joined this past month via a thread from Orton on the PPFA Exchange.
As most of you are hungry and eager to learn and share information, I'd like to invite those that are not current PPFA members to join. Send me a private e-mail and I'll gladly send you an application.
Sincerely,
John Ranes
