Hi. I recently read that Perfect Mount works wonders these days. I haven't had any use for it since I tried it about 10 yrs ago. The testimony was that it was great with photos & prints, and it really is easy and permanent (no bubbles in time). Anyone have first hand experience with it? It seems like a great concept but if it's not reliable, who needs it!!Thx. sue.

Suzy, we use it for certain things. It DOES work very well if one applies the poster, photo, etc carefully. There are some Grumblers that don't like it, but, like everything, I believe it has its place. We DEFINITELY DO NOT use it for valuable things, and we're very much aware of its non-conservation qualities. There are, however, times when it works good.

I love Perfect Mount. Most often I use Perfect Mount on Crescent's Super Smooth board and have found that combination ideal for glossy prints. (The Super Smooth is sometimes hard to find.) Perfect Mount is also available on fomeboard and, I think X and 3X boards as well as in loose sheets. The only downside I've encountered is that you need to position your print VERY carefully before it contacts the board, since it is NOT repositionable. I've never had bubble or a mounting failure with this material though, for economy's sake, I tend to use dry mount tissure for non-glossy prints.
