Does your company have an employee handbook?
If yes will you share?
I am in the process of writing one for my biz and could use some help.
Another idea is that we could write one together on the grumble.
First we would need an outline of areas to be covered. Then we can put suggestions for each section. We can take what is appropriate for our individual shops and leave the rest. Then it would be up to each shop to run it by their legal beagles to make sure it complies with state law.
Any ideas welcome

Use your browser search and search for employee+handbook. I found over a dozen websites on the subject selling books, manuals or software.

Diver Dave...
I wrote several when I was a hotel manager (in a former life), so feel free to use me any time on this project. I actually LIKE writing handbooks!

Dave,
I used the one in the archives of the Hitchikers as a starting point. It helped alot in the where to start for policies and procedures. I just recently got my hands on the LJ training manual and it has given me a starting point for the backroom training manual part.
You might want to check both of them out in your leisure time.

I'd like to have access to HitchHiker too, but being a mere employee my boss isn't about to join up just so I can play.

It's very easy to join, and I believe you can join as an individual also - BEST PART, the dues are much more reasonable than they used to be under the new alliance with PMA.
HH is a great source of info for the price - do I sound like an advertisement ?? Sorry! but I joined at the higher rate and have never regretted it. Where else do you join something and then have the dues go down??
My 2 cents!!
