Does anyone have a rag/cheesecloth supplier that they would recommend? We are looking for someone new, so if anyone has any suggestions..... thanks.

I mean no disrespect, I honestly am wondering what it is you use these things for in your shop, unles you do finishing. Do you do finishing?

The short answer to your question is "I don't" There is however, a pretty good chance that someone here does.

For cheesecloths, and for Framerdave's clamps, go to the bookstore and pick up Wooden Boat magazine.

In it you'll find all kindsa specialty chisels, clamps, cloths and cheesecloths, which any woodworker will tell you, you need to strain your varnish.

Don't know my current supplier right now, but you can buy cloths by the pound in bulk.

Invaluable, cheesecloth is, when you're varnishing or making homemade jellies.

Yes, we do finishing. We use rags for various things, not the least of which is dusting and cleaning. We aren't happy with our current supplier and want a new source.

and to think, for all these years I've been using cheesecloth to strain soft cheeses.

and 95% of my shop rags started life as a t-shirt.
