I have a customer looking for a print of dogs standing in a row urinating on trees with their backs to us. We think it is done by a frech artist. Does anyone know where I could find a print like this?

Thank you,
Michelle Bingham

We framed an old, water(?)-stained etching of dogs standing in a row waiting to use a comfort station. It was really silly, and it was French. Unfortunately, I have no idea who the artist was.

We might have prints of dogs playing poker, but the French have pictures of dogs peeing. Oh well, c'est la vie.

I hope you find it. Have you tried a search on google?

I have framed that quite a few times over the years. It is a signed lithograph and it is French. The artist did a series of these, they a depict dogs as humans. They are dressed in human clothing, walk on hind legs and peeing like human males against a wall. I do not, however, know where you can get them.

Rosenstiels certainly used to do this series of prints. They are an English print publisher.Don`t ask me how you find them on this contraption but I think there was four prints in the set.

Or three.Or six!

The dirty dogs of Paris was one of them.

It was a while ago!

It sounds like we are thinking of the same prints. Thanks for the link to Rosenstiels. I tried there, google and leibermans, but without the artsit name, it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Thanks,
Michelle

I just had a customer bring in a print of dogs playing cards by C M COOLIDGE, published by Haddad's Fine Art. None of them had any cloths on, and two were cheating.

Well that's just plain silly. Dogs are incapable of guile.

I framed several prints which fit this description and was hugely popular at a local wine shop. I'll check on it.

I have this print in the shop, I just have to find it. I believe the artist's name is on there somewhere, though faded and without any publishing info. If you're still looking for it, drop me an email and I'll continue my search.
