Hi there,
I am seeking an Art Deco patterns for mat cutting. I have few posters in that stile that I want to frame with double or triple mat cut accordingly.
Also, I would appreciate any suggestions for a good book or a video on a CREATIVE mat cutting and decoration techniques.
Thank you,
Bork

Great to see you on the Grumble, you are very welcome.
I think Brian Wolff has a good book on mount/mat cutting, you can get it from Décor, some of the US Grumblers should be able to give the details.
There is also a very good book by Lyn Hall GFC called The Art of MOUNTCUTTING it is available from the FATG www.fineart.co.uk (http://www.fineart.co.uk) at uk£12.50 about us$20 to 25, I have this book it is good.

Bork, Brian Wolf has a new book out that is the very best book on matcutting I've seen. I'm not in the shop, so I don't have the name of it in front of me. Also, on the Art Deco, it seems that I have a book of patterns in the Art Deco style, but as far as I can remember, there isn't a book on matcutting Art Deco patterns. But I'm not sure. I'll check when I go to the shop.
If you've been a framer long, and have many back issues of Decor magazines, go to www.decormagazine.com (http://www.decormagazine.com) and check the article archives. I know there's several articles that Brian Wolf has done on this style of mat embellishments.
Then go to www.columbia-publishing.com (http://www.columbia-publishing.com) and check out the book list.
After you do all this, surely you will have found something. In the meantime, I'll check my library.

Bork,
There are about 6-8 respectable books on advanced mat cutting techniques, most of which are available through PPFA's bookstore, Decor's bookstore, or some distributors stocks......
Specifically their are two that have some focus on "Deco Corners" in their content. The first is "Creative Mat Cutting by Sean Hunt and Valerie McClure. It was published by Nielsen-Bainbridge a number of years ago, but should still be available.
The second was written by a Canadian (but her name escapes me completely at the moment, and I'm not home to grab it off the shelf!) Alan Sturgess from Accent Art Distributors in Vancouver may jump in here, as he probably sells it........
