My local art supplies store no longer carries this. Does anyone know where I can get a bottle of Cool Gray #7? Thanks.

Try this http://www.gansink.com/. I did a search for Pantone ink on www.ixquick.com. (http://www.ixquick.com.) They had other links for pantone ink as well. (ixquick is a "meta" search engine, it searches other search engines. Usually works for me.)

Just out of curiosity what are you using the pantone ink for? I assume you are referring to the marker ink not the printing ink. Am I correct? Who was your local supplier in MN? Did They discountinue or are they just out?

Thanks, Betty - I'll try that link.
Jim - I use the gray ink to stain the cut ends of frames before joining. I was able to get it locally until the art supply/frame shop where I bought it decided to get out of the supplies business and specialize only in framing. I wish him well but sure do miss all the wonderful goodies he used to carry.

Betty's right, Kit.
Prismacolor also makes grays in percentage shades of gray, 40% gray, 50% gray, all the way up to 90% gray which is one shade lighter than black. I buy Prismacolor pens from the local Dick Blick store for about $1.89 per pen.
Out of curiousity, Kit, how do you apply the ink?
Do you brush it on or use a Q-tip or what? I am seeing a real mess if I tried to do something like take a full bottle of ink and try to apply it to the edge of a miter! It does seem like it would be much cheaper to buy a bottle of ink and carefully apply it with a disposable Q-tip though.
Do the Pantone inks come in other wood tone colors?
How is it packaged and how much does it cost approximately?

Gee - I thought this was such a simple question and it's turning into a saga!
Using the link Betty provided I found the ink I wanted. It's $8.95 a bottle and a bottle lasts about a year. Aside to Tom - I use the ink to fill a felt tip marker and apply it that way.
However, the shipping charges are more than double the cost of the ink so I think I'll go looking for some of the other alternatives mentioned here.
Thanks to everyone for your input.
