Okay, all you spontaneous Grumblers in Wisconsin and neighboring states (like Canada) - how'd you like to get together for cocktails, a very nice dinner, a short business meeting and a first-rate presentation by Marc Bluestone?

Here are the details:

Monday, October 21, 2002 (yes, that's THIS Monday)
The Country Inn Hotel
2810 Golf Road
Waukesha, WI 53187 (Near Milwaukee. Some would say IN Milwaukee.)
www.countryinnhotel.com (http://www.countryinnhotel.com)
800 247-6640
5:15-6:00 p.m. Cocktails
6:00 p.m. Dinner/Salad
7:00 p.m. Dessert/Speaker
"Bottom Line Basics for Managing Your Business"
Cost for the dinner and presentation: $60 for PPFA members, $40 for each additional member of your store, $85 for non-PPFA members (which includes a one-year trial membership to the PPFA.)

If you'd like to attend - or if you need more info, drop me an email (or John Ranes) and plan on paying at the door.

But don't think about it TOO long.

Marc is a powerful speaker with a keen business sense of what works and what doesn't work. He knows how to put the right people around him and let's them do their thing.

You are bound to pick up something useful from his presentation!

Despite our best efforts and a dedicated Chapter board, we invariable miss some folks along the way. (New PPFA members, Non-PPFA members) If you're from Northern Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota or even the Great Cheese State and want to take advantage of this program, please join us this coming Monday.

Hey.....forget Marc.....Here's another chance to meet Ron Eggers, author of over 3,400 Grumble Postings! Seriously....if you're within driving distance, please drop either of us an E-mail and join us for this very enjoyable and worthwhile evening.

I wanted to go but I have another meeting that day in Fond du Lac for one of my professional photographers groups (I'm pres-elect, I have to be there. Bummer!) And tommorrow I'm going to Illinois for my nephew's christening, so by Monday night, I'll be too tired to drive to Waukesha and back. Rats! :(

For those of you who were unable to attend, these were the highlights:

</font> Ron Eggers was formally (though narrowly) elected to the Wisconsin PPFA board of directors. </font> Ron Eggers won a door prize - a 2-tier mat sample display rack from the Kowerski Gallery & Frame Shop. This beauty will accomodate about 1,000 mat samples (including my new 4" samples) </font>I'll try to give you a little more lead time for the next one.

Seriously, if you haven't heard Marc speak, jump at the next chance you get. Marc is a charming and inspiring speaker and I can't wait to go to work and start applying some of his ideas about pricing, advertising and selling our product. Think business topics are dry? Marc had us alternately laughing and slapping our foreheads saying, "I can't believe I didn't think of that!"
