I have just framed two French Bayonets, in order to make the frame more dramatic I would love to light them from inside the frame.
Has anyone any ideas?

I have seen those rope lights put in to good effect, but you have to be able to hide it, say behind a mat, and figure out how to hide the plug end.

Maybe this is one of those really cool ideas that just isn't going to work.
There has to be some way to vent the frame package so that heat from the light source doesn't build up in there.
And, as Ellen mentioned, there's going to be a cord hanging out the back. I have seen strings of tiny lights for holiday garlands that operate from a battery pack, but where are we going to put the on/off switch?
Is anyone from R and D reading this? We need a minimal-heat, solar powered light that operates with a remote control switch. How hard can this be???

I know a few people living off the grid who use LED lights which seem to meet the low power, low heat requirement.
