I keep hearing about companies who are NOT going to be in Toronto. Anyone hearing who is going to be there?
It is unfortunate that some of the 'big guys' wont support a Canadian show. I for one hope to forge some new relationships with those who do support the Canadian show.

Hi Michael,
SoftTouch Solutions (FrameReady) will be at the AFEX show in Toronto. We look forward to seeing you there.

Clearmount Corp. will also be in Toronto. We are
looking forward to renewing old friendships and
hopefully, making new ones.

Perhaps the AFEX show organizers could post a list of exhiitors so framers could make an assessment on what they can get from the show besides education.

I totally agree with you Mike. I plan to take careful note of which supplier bothered to attend the AFEX show who doesn't and I hope that all Canadian Picture Framers will do the same.

Trade shows have suffered a lot in recent years, which is why so many of the shows have been discontinued.

There may be several good reasons for an exhibitor to attend a trade show, but I can think of only one at the moment:

1. Sell their products

And that requires attendance, which has been a problem with some shows in the US and in Canada.

So, if any show is to thrive, with lots of exhibitors, framers will need to go to the show and support them.

How's attendance been at recent Canadian shows?
