Hello grumblers.
I hope you are all well.
My supplier has switched from a film protective cover on my acrylic to a paper cover. Peeling this film off is a major PITA. Any suggestions on removing it.? It also left some residue that I had to clean off with alcohol.
I'm starting to hate this stuff!
Anbody develop any effective techniques for removing?

Start peeling at one corner and roll the cover sheet over a cardboard tube - the kind you might get prints and posters shipped in.
There really shouldn't be any adhesive residue. Maybe the acrylic has been stored too long or exposed to temperature or humidity extremes.

To add to Rons method. If the paper covering is old, add a little heat from a heat gun or a hair dryer to softer the adhesive. Now too much heat though.

Save a piece of the paper coating to dab off residue and dust, it works great!

To add to Ron's directions, I also put a piece of masking tape across the paper, when I first get it started, so there are no little tears that want to start. hmmm is that pronounced teers or tares.

CYRO had a WARNING written on the brown paper masking to store the plexi away
from HEAT or SUNLIGHT, as they would make the clean removing of the masking
difficult.
