What is the BEST brand of double miter saws? I am interested in purchasing one in the price range of $3,000 - $5,000. Any suggestions? Thanks. ajh

I use a pistorius EMN saw since 1976, and it has been down only once .

It is accurate and we cut both wood and metal with it.

For my money it would recoup your
your investment faster than any other piece of equipment.

AJ, the Pistorius is the most accurate, most reliable and best supported machine there is. It's a bit more expensive than your price range, but most definitely worth the extra dollars.

ajhohen.

I have just bought an Omga VP813 double mitre saw which is excellent.
It cuts up to 100mm.
No mucking around with rebate supports and good cuts on all mouldings
My chopper is only used for small delicate batons and mouldings now.
