This has been rattling around in my brain for a while... Is Denglas a brand name for glass or is it a brand name for the anti-reflective coating? Sandel sells denglas BRAND, and LJ sells Denglas from Denglas Technologies. Are they the same or are they different somehow?

Denton Vacuum (Denglas) merged it coated glazing products with Sandel this past year. So they are now one and the same. I believe the trade name for Denglas' coating was "Quartz-Cote" (sp?). I am still waiting for them to develope the waterwhite/ antireflective/ UV filtering product they advertised and showed at an ABC show in Atlanta several years ago. From what I can tell, Denglas and Tru Vue A/R are essentially the same product.

They have it now. It is in the trades, and avail to use.

The Tru-vue UV coating will breakdown as it is exposed to UV rays (it is sacrificial in nature). The (new) Denglass schmegeggy, like the UV block in UV acrylic will not break down over time.
