With the big Atlanta show just around the corner, this month's poll asks which shows you attend and what you hope to get out of them.

There are four questions in this poll. If you select OTHER, feel free to explain with a post. While votes are anonymous, your name will appear on any posts. Discussion is highly welcomed!

1) Which shows have you attended or will you attend?
2) Assuming most shows are about 3 days, how many days do you usually hit the show floor?
3) What do you hope to get out of the show(s)?
4) Would you or have you attend(ed) a casual grumbler or HH social gathering?

Please click on VOTE to participate. Polling ends August 31st at 11:59pm.

Mike

On Question 3

Anything I can, The NYC show has gone so far down hill it has become a real decision just to go.

I wish the powers that be would get their acts together.

Catalogues are fine; but, to see what is new and to actually touch the item or see how something fits in your hand is better. Or how sturdy it is made etc. etc.

Great! At least 36 grumblers in Atlanta at the Omni Bar! Woo hoo!

Has a day and time been set for the gathering? We still haven't booked our flights and hotel (because my parents are both in the hospital and probably will be for weeks), but HOPE to be there.

Mike,

We have met on Friday night in the past and also some of us diehards go back on Saturday night.

Please don't get the idea that this is a drunken brawl type of party for Grumblers! The Omni bar is conveniently located to the WCC and they tolerate a large group of people, that is probably the main reasons that we meet there. I usually drink unsweet tea at the get-togethers and there is a pretty good buffet just off the bar where you can get a full meal if you choose.

We all have a whole lot of fun at these meetings and it is the perfect place to network with other framers, meet new people, and place names to faces of those that you have seen on the Grumble. I would make an assessment that many of you have gotten more out of line on the Grumble in the past year than any of us will at the Omni bar meeting. (Well, Ellen may be the exception!!) :D

So make plans to come and meet some really cool and interesting people on either Friday or Saturday nights at the Omni!! graemlins/thumbsup.gif
