This poll was inspired by a recent thread to see how grumblers compare for # of lines carried, and selection offered.

I apologize if any vendors were missed, or are no longer in business.

It is NOT necessary to vote before viewing results, and some questions have multi answers.

Thanks

Thank you Mike. I hope that some of the English Grumblers reply. Having said that (Brain Fart) the results would not show nationality.
But 3000 moulding chevrons WOW some wall space !!

Merps: I wanna know how he found TIME to do it. Great job. Only beef is you didn't include Rhonda Feinman for closed corner, AMPF-type mldgs. Also:: was Munn in there? forget

Most of the list was courtesy of Lifesaver Software. I forgot to include many of the high end closed corner vendors. Munn, etc. It only took about 20 mins to type em all in.

I wish there was a question that asked HOW MANY LINES each shop carried for mats and moulding.

It's interesting so far that so many shops use clear glass as a default instead of UV blocking glass. I didn't expect to see clear as such a popular choice.

This post is to reset this thread so it appears in the corrupted Voting forum, which was damaged in the 1/30/04 crash.

Great poll, Mike. And I'm glad you brought up the 2003 tecnology poll...I had to check it out again. Perfect for anyone thinking about buying a POS system or computerized matcutter.

while reading the results i couldn't help but wonder if I am one of the very few if not the only framer that gets some if not a lot of the molding lines you have mentioned by buying from one of the other vendors?
By this I mean I do business with LJ.Ampf/Zinsel,and occasionally aetna. However some if not all thses vendors carry lines like Framemrica,Designer,Nielson,Clark and others .In fact i think some even cary selected studio moldings, and as is obvious by their name aMPF now distributes Zinsel who distributes some of the lines already mentioned ,as does LJ.So how do you chck off (By vendor or each line? )

I did mine by real vendor, even if it was carried by another larger vendor. (nielsen metals via LJ or DonMar, etc)
