I am curious about framer's purchasing habits for moulding. Please answer the following questions and thank you for your input.

I realize that there are more choices to each of these questions but I felt that these were the most frequent of the responses that framers would have.
If you have new ideas, particularly for the use of left over pieces of moulding, please post them here for all of us to get some ideas.

Ok, I answered the first two questions, "chop" and didn't answer the third question, since I don't buy length, but I do however end up with some upon occasion, and I do make ready-mades out of it, as well as old corner samples. However, I can't figure out if my vote registered cause I only answered two out of three questions. I tried to view the results but it said I had to vote. graemlins/shrug.gif

Framar,
I checked and your votes were there.
I'll bet the "poll police" wouldn't let you in there because of what you did to the author of that poll!! ;)
(Check the Dogs thread if you don't know what I am referring to.)

Short lengths become mini frames etc.

Framar is right. The answers for the third question may not be accurate since the poll will not let you vote if you don't answer all three questions. If you order chops only as I do, there isn't an answer that applies in the third question...so I made one up just to vote.
oh well...gotta vote!

I'll use mldg scraps down to 2-3". Work great for little accent mirrors. Have a section of the showroom for mirror groupings. Sell em for 10 or 20 bucks.

I do just about everything chop, although I have a craft show person that buys her mats and frames from me, so I buy these chop/join because I make more this way. (Yeah, I know, I'd make even more if I cut them myself, but can't do that just now.)
There wasn't an option for more than one choice, so it's not totally correct info, but close enough.
