Over the past 5+ years, framers have been slowly embracing technology, adding Point of Sale Software to their business and using CMC's to increase volume, accuracy and sales.

Most of the manufacturers have a pretty good handle on how many units are out there, but I'm curious as to how this "Techo" bunch of Grumblers fare.....how many of you have taken on one or the other, or more interestingly, both?

Just thought I'd post to bring this one to the top and see if it will help get more people voting -- it's easy to vote, promise!!!

Rose,

Thanks for bringing this back to the top....and thanks Framer for making the Voting Booth part of the Grumble. I think it lends itself well to this BB. But this raises another question (which I should probably put into the Grumble, proper?)

If indeed we used to have over 500+ members, how come the most passionate survey only garnishes about 40-60 responses? That many lurkers? I doubt it. I realize that a number of industry vendor folks lurk, with multiple addresses (that's to be expected).....but how many retail types have registered? You can tell how many post.....you see the names every day. I guess I'm asking, what is our real participant pool? 100? 200? 300?

John

If I’m reading the poll correct 53 people have responded by today 30th March 02, now as you have suggested say 500 active participants on the Grumble this gives over a 10% response which for any blind poll is very good and could be used to extrapolate good results.

Maths would not be one of my strongest points and if I’m reading things wrong please correct me, I would be more concerned with accurate interpretations of the votes rather than whether I’m interpreting things right.

Take care

Hi John

Perhaps framer's admin stuff can give a more accurate counting but I suspect that there are only about 50 or so active posters. This is just off the top of my head; maybe it's 75 or so.

Wizard Edd's Silent Majority and the Grumble's Vocal Minority theories seem to ring true with your poll thoughts.
