Instant Messenger Use by Grumblers

Ted asked if we could set up a poll about use of instant messenger services by Grumblers. At least, I think that's what he asked.

It appears that, for now, all polls are posted to the main Grumble forum, regardless of the topic. Also, while you can edit this descriptive text and the topic subject line, you cannot edit the poll itself once it is posted.

Oops. After rereading Ted's post, I believe he really wanted a poll about a possible chat forum within The Grumble. Sorry, Ted. Maybe next time.

I voted for IRC. I'm familiar with it. I've heard bad things about ICQ, and AOL is a pain. But, to each his/her own. I just wish everyone would go to the IRC website and check it out. The old pipe smokers would have as many as 30~40 people on there chatting at once. And you don't talk all over each other.
It needs 'channel operators' to control things, but some of you computer guys could easily do that.
