Try this...
Find an old puzzle at home.
Drymount and laminate with satinex.
The vaccum press literally sucks the laminate down into the gaps between the puzzle pieces to create a really unique look.
We do three or four a month.

That`s the way I do them too.Sometimes they prefer to just have them dry mounted which is trickier.I usually get the puzzle brought to me on a board so I have to slide the whole thing carefully on to the dry mount film.I have done a lot of them that way with no mishaps. The puzzle is stronger than you may think if you slide it that way.It holds together fine.

For the life of me I cannot understand why anyone would NOT want to do puzzles.
They're easy, theyre profitable and, at least here, not many of my competitors want to mess with them.
And ALWAYS use glass spacers between the pieces and the UV glass.
I love to see them come in. then, after we do them, the customer comes back with additional work.
More work my competitors would have had if they did the original puzzle.

We frame puzzles. I have framed them with mats, without mats, whatever the customer wants. I even framed one for my dad's birthday. I did it in a nice frame with a spacer and UV glass. smile.gif

Ok, I've let this poll run for a little while, and now... I have a few questions.
First, for the few people who don't frame puzzles, why not? They dry-mount very easily, and from a distance don't look bad in an expencive frame!
Second, What is Satinex? Is is like Print Guard?
I have framed jig-saw puzzels many ways. Some just get mounted, and a foam fast hanger put on the back. Most get put in a frame kit. But, lately, I have been framing puzzles in expencive wide frames. I framed one puzzle for about $280. (Just dry-mount, innerspace, frame, and fit up.) Not bad for a bunch of cardboard pieces, huh?
