I got a small blurb about my shop in the paper today, in a retail watch column that runs once a week. Usually small places get like a sentence or two, but I got a whole paragraph... and he mentioned my website, too!!! How exciting. Here is the text of what he wrote (minus my name)...

From the world of big-box national chains, we leap to a 19th-century barn.
F Custom Framing, a full-service custom framing business, has opened in an 1848 stone barn at 5780 P Rd, Zionsville. Owner K F says she offers ''some of the most unique and beautiful mouldings available in the Valley,'' as well as custom hand-carved matting.
A Web site, if you need more info, can be seen at http://www.f.com .

It's certainly a start... next, I'm going for a full article. Ya gotta start somewhere!

Let us know if you have any new customers from the exposure.

I actually was contacted yesterday by the village news paper wanting to interview me becouse I had bought the frame shop in town. Do to scheduling they emailed me a questionare but sent a photographer to my shop for pictures.

What's interesting about the village newspaper is it is done completely by students from the high school. They have faculty advisors. It is published every two weeks with a circulation of over 3,000. The last issue had 28 pages and it is done as good as any of the big daily newspapers.
