Hello,

I am looking for a vendor that sells mosaic tile picture moulding. I am interested in doing some bathroom mirrors. I need some that are at least 2" wide. Does anyone know of any?

Thanks!

Welcome to the G. Nice to have you here.

Now what do you consider mosaic tile picture frames? Do you want something that resembles broken tile on the frame? Or is there a special frame needed for these tiles-themself?

A vendor that sells the first is Ampf and Adhisa. The items you ask seem to be in the 1 1/2 range, with a white base. They come in red, green , blue and orange tile type finishes over the white. So you might need to stack two frames. Good Luck

Welcome Allison. Mosaic Merchantile has a very limited selection of picture frames, intended to have mosaic applied to, and they are small. I think the largest is 11x14.

When I do mosaics I do my work on MDF and use regular frame moulding. I adher my mirror to the MDF , treat my surfaces and mosaic between mirror and the frame. I use 1/8 " mirror pretty successfully and find its the right thickness for the glass and tiles I work with. you do have to take care to protect the frame surface and the mirror when you are at the grouting stage, to prevent scratching.

Good luck and welcome to the G

Before Baer comes with a better sample of his own
;) ;)

use the link below. The molding is 3 3/4 inch wide and may be altered if so needed.

Wonder what am I doing wrong here, you square Gs (Grumbler Geek)?
I posted the picture on some free Hometown AOL web page and tried to link it into here by using Instant UBB Code "Image" button. I don't quite remember how I did it in the past... but then it worked. Baer? :(

Like this? http://hometown.aol.com/americanchoice/myhomepage/sevilla.jpg?mtbrand=AOL_US

The way I do it is right click on the image you want to show, go down to Properties, highlight everything to the right of the Address, right click on the highlighted text then copy it.

Under the "Instant UBB code" click Image, in the pop up box right click again and paste the address.

BTW, NICE FRAME!

Thank you, Dave, for your help and compliment. Your way is somewhat different from what I remember having done last time. To make sure I got it right I am going to post a picture myself, with no relevance to the topic of this thread. Just for drilling.
