Has anyone ever bought a cc terminal from Tafoya Terminals? I found them on ebay, and was curious if they are trustworthy. I also looked into merchantwarehouse.com, and they seem to have the same stuff, and I know some grumblers have bought from them. My bank will program and service any machine I buy, as long as it's one they are familiar with, so I decided on the Hypercom T7-P thermal. Are they reliable machines? Thanks.

We have about 6 Hypercom T7-P-T (the T means thermal printer) for various sister businesses and they have been fairly reliable. The only one that was unreliable was the one in the frame shop, ironically.
We since retired the unit and use the card processing built into lifesaver.
I believe the T7-p-* series were discontinued a year or two ago in favor of newer models, so it's likely you are buying refurbished equipment. (not that theres anything wrong with that)
It's a reliable machine and you'll be happy with the speed. My only advice is to make sure it has the THERMAL printer, not the old dot matrix. The dot matrix is slower, more costly to run, and more likely to break down. They made this product with both printers.

I bought an Omni 3200 from Tafoya on ebay about 4 years ago, and it still works great. Their processing rates weren't all that good, as I recall.
