Have you heard what the NEA (National Education Association) is doing about Walmart? check out this web site.

What do you think?

I may have missed something, but I don’t see anywhere on the page (or in the “About Us”) which indicates that this site is sponsored or supported by the NEA.

I am certainly not a big fan of either the NEA or Wal*Mart, but why would the NEA have anything to do with trying to slam WallyWorld other than disliking their union busting tactics?

As political as some may think NEA is, I live in a family of teachers....and I read the NEA organ every month...as well as the NTA....

Neither one has come out against any company selling school supplies.
Nor do they support any company who sells school supplies.

On those issues, they don't dare get involved. It is taking every bit of their energy and effort to just get education elevated....

By NO means is this an "Education Administration".
Even with Laura's 2months as a "teacher".

Amen... This is a labor union-sponsored site. (And I just watched "Norma Rae" again last week, for the fifth time.)

What I don't understand is this bit about breaking the child labor laws, and exploiting "our children". ****, half the children in Albuquerque wouldn't have any new clothes if it weren't for WalMart and K-Mart.

And what other company pays part-time employees benefits? That kind of corporate thinking went the way of Enron.

Guess I'll get off my soapbox now...errr.. my box of Hatch Green Chiles. (Now THERE'S a group of workers that could use some benefits!)

That site is only politics as usual between unions & corporations.
