This ad is in Picture Frame Magazine this month:

"Seeking frame shop owners, managers, and production managers for immediate owner/manager and production manager position(s) in all 50states. Excellent benefits--health, life, dental, and profit participation. Mail resume to Millennial Technologies & Consulting International, Attn: Human Resources, 114 Crape Myrtle Circle, Covington, LA 70433."

Are we getting a new set of chain stores? Any ideas who needs help for all 50 states?

Steve

That's right across Lake pontchartrain from us. I think I ask my friendly LJ rep if he knows anything .Afterall that is in his sales area.
By any chance was there a phone number given? At any rate I'll check the Directory assitance.

Jim's a pretty straight shooter. He is a consultant to the industry. He had a chain of stores in New Orleans if I recall correctly.

My bet is this may be the real deal or a clever markiting sceme.

To all who are concerened ,I spoke with Jim this morning on the phone. He assured me as soon as he can find the time he will attempt to register on TFG and put the RUMORS and speculations to rest.

In the mean time I might suggest that you look at web sight that Jay H posted and it may give you a direction of where Jim's company is heading.

He tried briefly to make me understand but I'll only make things less understanbale so please wait for his explantion. But it is very real and a bit different than anything I have heard of before. It may actually be benefical to those who are struggleing to stay afloat.

Ok I don't get it from looking at the website.
Consulting???

Is he wanting owners to call and he gives consulting so you can get health, life, dental, ect?

I took one of his classes a couple years ago, I did like it and he seems to know what he is talking about.

Well, since we are already "rum-ing" and speculating, let me play, too!

My "entry" is that in order to keep consultants from having to travel all over the world (and parts of Georgia) that he is setting a goal of creating consulting "branches" in every state.

He would train the consultants to basicly "duplicate" his teaching. (smart man) And as Buddy said, this would be very beneficial to the struggling business owner.

(Howz-zat for my guess?)

Betty sounds pretty close. But if you look at my post up on the GRUMBLE you will se Jim is haveing some difficulty getting to LOG IN. I have solicited the help of the Moderators ,so that he can "STOP THE GUESSING" and POST THE FACTS. Gee that sounds familiar. LOL
but seriously he his attempting to log on as we speak. unfortuneately he asked a dumby like me for help.

I am responding to the string that was posted regarding an ad my company is running in PFM. First, thanks to Buddy and the others that have emailed and called me so we can keep everyone informed.

My company does consulting for cleints around the world in the picture framing industry. Our clients range in size from small stand alone units to larger volume retailers and OEM's. As business owners we (you and I) are always seeking great team members.

What we at MTCI have found, is that there are a lot of qualified individuals in the market but there is no means by which they can advertise their skills to the appropriate decision makers.

Through teaching classes, lecturing and traveling I have been able to help put people together. The ad represents that in part. I have clients around the country that are seeking qualified framers, sales people, trainers, managers, etc.

We have been able to help framers who have been struggling by putting them in touch with firms seeking to expand. A framer goes from struggling day-to-day to earning a healthy consistent living and not having to deal with taxes, payroll, salemen- you know the drill.

Some of the positions available could entail- co-ownership, percentage of sales or profits, etc. We can help put a qualified individual in touch with a great opportunity. Some of the positions currently avaialble pay from 25k-70k a year to start, plus incentives and benefits.

Furthermore, we are always seeking additional trainers and consultants so that we can expand our ability to service our clients needs.

I could go on for hours but all of our time is valuable. So, if you have any questions please let me know.

Thx
j

I would also like to welcome Jim…….I think this recruitment service he is offering the industry is super…..matching the correct person to a job is critical for the employer and possibly more significantly for the person filling the position…..happy employees generally mean a job well done.

Jim you may not be aware but there is a Jobs Opening/Wanted forum here on the Grumble http://www.thegrumble.com/cgibin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum;f=8 …..you should consider post your advertisement there also and from time to time update it, to keep it near the top.

There is also framing boards in Ireland/England http://estlite.scenes.biz/phpBB2/index.php?sid=238407f39dcdbbcd2a25a359ed70fd29

And Australia http://www.thegrumble.com.au/ you should consider posting the job offers on these boards also…..given the international slant you have on your business.

Once again welcome to the Grumble and the best of luck.

John, that is, what we in the South call, "grinning like a 'possum." It usually means you're "up to something..."

Which reminds me of definitions of being without clothes:

Nude - "artistically and tastefully without clothing"

Naked - "ain't got no clothes on"

Buck Naked - "ain't got no clothes on and yore up to sumpin..." ;)

and now back to your regularly scheduled thread...

Betty

EDIT: Oh shoot, this would be post number 25. Now it don't make a lick of sense! Sorry.
