View Full Version : Be careful when you order

This goes under the "you always have to watch what you're doing" category.

I have been using a lot of Wallbuddies. I have been ordering the bulk package from LJ because it was easier. The Small Wood 25 Bulk pack lists for $24.75 before any early payment discounts etc.

I was placing an order with United; taking advantage of a couple things in their recent flyer and a couple of odds and ends. They have a 100 Bulk pack of the small Wallbuddies. (for some reason the number is not listed in their price book.) I thought, "gotta be cheaper to buy 100 from United." BUT, the 100 pack ... quoted at $148.50!

I am NOT trying to bad mouth United! I have had great luck with them and they are usually a big savings! I just wanted to point out that nothing is universal and you have to constantly pay attention!

Good point, Cliff!

I have used WallBuddies for over 2 years now and they are my default fitting device now for everything but very small framings. I buy in bulk also and order either from LJ or direct from Darrell.

The prices on their website (WallBuddies website) are for the benefit of consumers rather than the trade and you can buy in large quantities much cheaper than the price you quoted in your post.

Shop around and get the best deal just as you would for any materials used in your shop.

They ARE cheaper directly from Picture Perfect/Wallbuddies, but I find it very convenient to order from L-J along with my chop and other supplies and I don't pay any shipping.

Plus, if we don't do that from time-to-time, they will disappear from the L-J catalog before most of their reps even know they have them.

BTW, those of you who don't have the Wallbuddies wall display should get one. People play with it while they're waiting and the Wallbuddies sell themselves with it. And it's SO much easier than a verbal explanation of the Wallbuddies hangers.

So Ron did you make a "Wall Buddy" display or did you get it from the Wall Buddy" company?? Sounds like a good idea.

Ron.... where do I obtain a "wall buddies" display system. I have just started using them (thanks to info obtained from "the Grumbler") and think they will be great.....

Hey everyone, my error!!!!! redface.gif

I gave the United salesperson the # for the bulk security pack!!! Not the standard sets. Their 25 pack is less than Larson's price as expected!

Sorry United!!! redface.gif

I guess I'll give them a call and get the bulk pack, plus a few retail packs!

Talk about you "have to be careful." tongue.gif

Ron,

Don't leave us hanging by our Wall-Buddies. Where did you get it?

Pat :D

This may be an over-simplistic answer but has anyone called Darrell at WallBuddies and asked him about wall displays?

I have my own on the wall for anyone to see and play with. They sell themselves when the customer sees how well they keep a framing level on the wall.
